SMP + GPU good bedmates do not make. Generally speaking, you're going to see higher point production off to run SMP alone on a core2duo machine.

The alternative would be to drop SMP for the standard ...

I have installed the SMP client on an Intel dual processor Quad core machine and it is only utilizing 50%.

You're thinking too much ... just install fahmon, it has no interaction with the client (it only read log and unitinfo files to show the progress) ...
